Timing

For example: Right mambo forward

  1. 1rock (right) · weight moves onto it
  2. &recover (left) · weight moves onto it
  3. 2step (right) · weight moves onto it

How to do it

Rock onto the foot (forward, back or to the side) on 1, recover onto the other foot on &, then step the first foot back beside the other on 2.

It's a rock step squeezed into a triple's timing. You end on the rocking foot, so the other foot leads the next move.

On a step sheet

  • Rocking foot: the foot that leads the step
  • Direction: which way it travels (forward, to the side, toward a diagonal...)
