Also known as Rock Recover

Rock your weight onto one foot, then rock it back onto the other foot.

For example: Rock right forward, recover

  1. 1rock (right) · weight moves onto it
  2. 2recover (left) · weight moves onto it

How to do it

Step onto the rocking foot (forward, back or to the side) and let your weight move onto it, then shift your weight back onto the other foot, which hasn't moved.

You finish where you started, with the rocking foot free to move again. Keep the rock small so you aren't late recovering. A rock forward is often followed by a triple step or coaster step back.

On a step sheet
