Heel Strut

Place the heel first with the toes up, then drop the toes to take your weight.

Length

Timing

For example: Right heel strut forward

  1. 1heel (right) · no weight
  2. 2toe (right) · weight moves onto it

How to do it

Put the heel down in the direction the sheet says on 1, toes lifted. On 2, flatten the foot and take your weight.

It's a rolling walk, the reverse order of a toe strut.

On a step sheet

  • Stepping foot: the foot that leads the step
  • Direction: which way it travels (forward, to the side, toward a diagonal...)
